I must admit this the age old gender approach, between the genders, will always remain unresolved it's the great divide. I guess that's why God knew the correct procedure, when He observed that the joining of men and women was becoming one with each other. Joining with many could cause these exact problems, neither one is right, just a different viewpoint,
I loved the quote, thank God our hearts protect us even when our minds are confused! I think that hearts are also unreliable. Well done, Dawn, blessings, Roy.

I enjoyed reading the chapter. It was full of action and lots of tension with her trying to talk to Mitch. I didn't see any problems. Shirley

This is an interesting and insightful segment of your story. Many emotions explored. The most prominent is substituting one man for another when the heart really lies with the one that can't be had. I had a girlfriend in high school who used to say, "You forget one man by getting involved with another one." At least "Dawn" does seem to be aware of what she is doing. Many people don't have a clue. In a way, she is trying to convince Mitch he's inadequate in his feelings when she doesn't really want him anyway. He's actually protecting himself by NOT falling for a woman who wants someone else. Who is the game player here? Her, Mitch, or David? It seems to me that Mitch is the most honest of the three of them. It will be interesting to see where this goes. Marilyn

We, woman do strange things when we are in love. I would also fall for Mitch, but I know the pretty boys have lots of woman behind them who chase him, as soon as he got you to wash his clothes and stand behind the stove to cook for him, he will go for the next one.

Nice music video :) (Only rarely does video work on my computer because our internet is always so painfully slow but today it worked haha)
Another nice chapter that reveals what went on between Dawn and Mitch while she was thinking more of David.
"David had truly gotten through to a Dawn I didn't know existed anymore."
The combination of prose and poetry works very well. Great job
Blessings,
Anabella

A very aggressive chapter, it keeps running quickly with strong pace that you want to keep with the pace too. Very smooth dialogues. I enjoyed reading this.

The dilemma in your mind comes across vividly.the reasons why this meeting is not possible is very touching. A beautiful friendship has been forged ,but with a long distance between the two. There is no way of knowing if this could become more meaningful. You have successfully brought out the conflict and the resolution I liked reading your story.

Thank you so much - I'm very glad you enjoyed it. This is actually only part six of this story - so far there are twelve parts. :)

Oh, they are all here, either on my profile page, or inside my portfolio - if you scroll down that first page, they are all there. Some are no longer paying though. Although several on the front page (my profile) still are. Just click on my name to get to my profile. Thanks for your interest! :)

Dear Dawn,
This seems like very dangerous territory for me to invade. It sounds like what we in Ozland call "secret women's business". However, from the wisdom of my 61 years married to the same woman, which means that I am sort of out of date with modern courtship methods, I can only say that if your argument to him is as eloquent and direct as your essay above, you should have no problem in sorting him out. Further advice will cost you.(No cheques, Cash only please)
Best regards
Reg

ideasaregems-Dawn:

Starting a new relationship is tough enough when two
people have been seeing each other on a regular basis
in a myriad of situations and have decided to move
things to the next level - dating exclusively; it is
that much harder when two people have developed a
bond through words, whether on the Internet or over
the telephone, but neither is sure of where the other
is on what the next step of the relationship should be.
Good luck to you.

thanks for sharing
love,
jan

Thank you for this very thoughtful and kind review - you do realize that this is a part of a series that may, or may not be fiction, right? So far there are 11 parts to the story - the big 'reveal' comes tonight. I'm so glad you enjoyed this part, and hope you enjoy the rest!
