To me, this seems to be speaking of that first time love actually comes slamming into a person's life, usually during the teenager years when raging hormones don't exactly help the situation. In that regard, I say yes, this does seem to happen with such intensity only one. It's like a rite of passage, often ending in a heartbreak, but most wouldn't change it for anything.

Interesting and wise words this was.
