This is a powerful piece of writing! Very vivid and stark imagery that is haunting, sad and gruesome. A very emotional piece and great commentary on society and the wars and conflicts that take so many lives so unnecessarily. I can only advise that for a 5-7-5 contest, the poem should be three lines and with a syllable count of five for the first line, seven for the second line and five for the last line. Hope this helps.
