Great poem!
Poets writing about poets, authors writing about authors...always interesting to read their inside view of what writing means to them.
You make it clear that your ultimate reason (as my own) is to share God and to make use of the gift He has given.
I also enjoyed reading all the sources of inspiration. Can't argue with anything you said here!

Hi Connie,I appreciate your comment very much. And yes, I strongly believe credit should go where it is due. We're not likely to accomplish much without His inspiration. Best to you always, Carolyn

Keep listening for that inspiration and be faithful to pen what is given. May it then be given wings to inspire others too. May your 2013 be blessed.

Thank you so much Jean for your kind remarks. I love writing and will be 'faithful to pen what is given' as you say. Best to you also for 2013 and always. Carolyn

Wow, this is so sweet and I can so relate. The poetry I write is almost always inspired. I give Him total credit for that and make sure I do. Nice job sharing here how you are inspired inside. ~Yona

Yona, thanks so much for the review and I am really glad you like the poem. I wrote it several years ago and find that I still feel the same today. Carol

I look for truth in poetry and prose. Not facts or fiction, but truth with a capital T, Truth. Facts can be truth of fiction and deception, but Truth is God, "Because all good things come from God." As Ghandi, a Hindu, said, "No God is higher than Truth." As Anselm said, "God is that than which nothing greater is conceived." Nothing is greater than Truth. Truth covers all that is and what could not be. Truth rules out the impossible and manifests the possible. Truth is over all and forbids the impossible. Thanks for this reminder of the Creator's Nib.

Hi notesandmore
I liked this, I'm not sure why as I'm not a religious person.
But it flowed well, and it was enjoyable to read. The first verse was great as it sets up the rest that followed.
Nice work.

The first four stanzas are general, personal, very beautiful rhymes... The closing lines are more spiritual category. But the whole poem is nice and easy to follow. :) So, go ahead!

Inspiration is the key which unlocks the creative skills in poets and writers alike. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Yes i agree with you that music and poetry are inspired by God, and as such an account of how we used our talent will be required of us somewhere beyond this sphere. well expressed.

that was enjoyable to read, it always amazes me how god gets into poetry from nowhere it sight then all of a sudden it's about him.
