A very creative set of nonets, Tom. Well worthy of the divine lookalike featured at the top! The uniqueness of the creation is quite mystifying and not explained by any scientific theory that I'm aware of.

Thank you Tony. Yes, it just came from my own thoughts. Indeed that beard really got out of control about 10 months after I first retired.

This is very well written, and very creative. I agree with you that I think that the one thing that we have in common with God as humans is that he put within us the ability to be creative with the things that we do. I know many times when I have done things. I haven't always followed all the rules, but it seems like God is wanting me to do some creation on my own. And I think that pleases him when I do. Your poem is beautiful. It captures the beauty of faith and believing in something bigger than us. Your writing is solid and this flows very nicely. I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this poem, I love to sit and think and this really has given me food for thought, its not just our little world that has so much variety, its our solar system, our universe, and there is more we don't know that we do know, and we what we do know seems infinite :) thank you for sharing.

Wow!
This certainly is a very philosophical and thoughtful poem
with a whole lot of observation and truth in the mix.
Well executed nonet format for each segment.
The thought and philosophy flows well throughout the entire poem.
:-) Shirley

This is such a fascinating poem, Tom!
Emphasizing that creation is a major aspect of being a human! I love that though.
Also, I loved how you zoomed in going through the tree, leaves, cells, then suddenly zoomed out to the universe!
What an interesting writing!

I had a beard like that prior to 2005. People say now with it shorter that i look younger, so being a vain creator myself i keep it short these days along with my air. i don't think it has affected my creativity at all.

This reminded me of the Irish cumulative song that has the bird on the nest on the twig on the branch on the limb on the tree in bog down in the valley oh! I had never thought of that song as mimicking creation but of course it does.

Thank you Pantygynt. Good observation about that song. That beard got cut shortly after that, because it was driving me crazy with tangles and keeping it clean.

Well mate I am glad you pulled this out from under the cobwebs, It is a good read for one who agrees with your verse but I have a different theory and it will last till there is no earth, just fire and brimstone. For our Mother (natures mother) will have the last word and say; You have destroyed the planet that took millions of years to evolve, now you will have nothing, everything on earth will be dead and gone.
Your work is great and I truly love reading what you write.
Just my take on the world today.
Cheers
Kev

Thank you Kev, I hear you perspective too. What we have done, and are doing to the earth is a crime that Mother Nature will likely correct.

Yes we are. I love creating. I have dabbled in oil and acrylic art and now I am into poetry. Creating a poem brings me so much pleasure I get so excited sometimes on how they evolve with my thoughts. Yes we create art but nothing can even touch on the things Almighty God has created for us to enjoy. Well done Tom. Nancy
