When targeting young adults, I think meter and rhyme are essential. Your rhyme is good, but the meter could be cleaned up a bit to smooth out the reading.

The moral that's here should be very clear
Don't let anything get in your way
No matter how big or scary it is
you can handle it...come what may
This big kid enjoyed this - the content,
the flow to the words, and to both rhythm
and rhyme, all excellent - a great little
story and the picture's so cute.

This poem is the best that I have read on this site in it's categorie and your work deserves the top spot, not only on this site but in all other places it will be public. Please continue the stories they are bigger than Mother Goose. Great great work.
