Hello Ericdagoose,
Nice piece of poetry having impressive phraseology, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and beautifully depicting a Moral: We should not stop until the mission is accomplished.
The last two stanzas are particularly noteworthy.

This is a good story. Children should be able to learn an advice i.e. "Don't give up."

When people are given a task to do, don't give up even faced with difficulties. This is like what this story tells you "Don't listen to the stop Sign." but continue until you complete your task.

Thanks for sharing.

Hello Eric,

your poem was pretty neat. I could see children enjoying it very much, you don't really hear about vikings too much anymore I think kids would find that neat

Any child would love this story of Eric, the little Viking, and Petey, his parrot. This was a great poem about facing fears, courage, and one friend encouraging another. The imagery was wonderful. Your artwork fantastic.
Enjoyed the 2nd/4th line ending rhymes in each stanza.
My favorite line was: 'Life gave gifts that were seemingly free.' This line would be a great discussion opener between parent and child.
