This is a great 5-7-5 Senyru poem. The emphatic last line places emphasis on the first two lines without being an extension of them. The reader can almost feel the snowflakes through the well describe words in each line. The artwork goes with the theme of this work and is fascinating in itself. Great job!

Gave me a delicious cold shiver. Everything right about this for me! I'll have to try one of these- never written a Senryu!

A wonderful glimpse to the season to come! I thought it was wonderful how you gave the feeling of the cold with the ...cheeriness and warmth of the experience. And the alliteration worked lovely; I thought it intersting how you even wove the second line more closely, with frosty and face. Good luck in the contest(though you probably won't need it)

You'd be suprised what wins in some of these contests, none the less a lovely review. Snow is such a magical "thing" everyone loves it, at first anyway LOL Thank you once again

I thought this was beautiful, we don't get snow this side of the world that often, but the first thing I did when we had this year was go and stand in the snow and your senryu described that perfectly, well done!!!!

Dear Dylan, this is such a beautiful review. First snow is such a magical "thing," even to those of us that see it more than once a year. Thank you for reading this senyru, as wished it would be read by all. Hugs

I really, really like your alliteration. I think, often, people don't make proper use of poetic devices in poems like these. You did so wonderfully.

I love snow and the flakes faling and touching my face. So I think your poem has a beautiful feel of winter and yet a beautiful feel of the warmth of an experience gentle as a kiss.

Snow is a magical experience, even for those that deplore it. The first snow always enchants and delights. Thank you so much for this lovely review.

I can't believe that you would sully this site by introducing a poem about snow this early in the year! LOL

I think this is a well thought out senryu. (please check your spelling of this word atop your poem title line)
Icy seduction works so very well
bravo on this mini masterpiece
all the best in the contest

Thank you so much, and sorry to bring the fact that "winter is in my blood" into this beautiful Fall. I'm not sure what word you speak of that has been misspelled? If it is the title line, they only give me so much space.

    You're very welcome!

    Senryu, not Senyru
unless of course there is two ways to spell this word that I am not aware of, and if so, I apologize

I will think happy thoughts when the first snow flies and I promise not to think bad thoughts of you LOL

Poet,
You've written an excellent senryu with romantic imagery painted in an economy of words.
The art work you used is stunning.
You used marvelous allitetation with the S & F words.
Your satori line is great.
I enjoyed your lines:
silver snowflakes fall
icy kisses touch my face...
frosty seduction
I wish you good luck in the Senryu You contest.
I'd recommend your creative Senryu poem to other reviewers.
Missy.

This is a lovely senryu to cheer anyone's day. Snow and winter means so many different things to different people, so it was lovely to be reminded how much fun it can be in your poem. Good luck in the contest. Alexis x

Thank you, Alexis. I did want to paint a cheerful picture of winter, so glad you saw that.
