Your poem shows respect for the loss of your brother. The cadence was respectful and the rhyme scheme echoed with sorrow on each line. Your loss was shared with this tribute to your brother.

This is a wonderful poem that conveys your memories and feelings beautifully. You can feel the weight of your loss but your words are a fitting tribute to your brother. I loved the part where you went back to the memories of things you did in times past. It was a very warm moment. This was a special poem and I genuinely hope it brings you back to writing soon.

Kindest of regards,

Mrs D :-)

I am so sorry for your loss. This was a heart full of sorrow and yet I hope release. I lost my mother this year, and felt much as you do...time heals and in the meantime you have penned a work that bridges you to him.

Thank you for sharing.
Maureen

This is a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to your brother. Your memories of the times the two of you had will help you get through these times. I believe that it is okay to grieve, cry, laugh, whatever you need to do to get through this. Keep writing, it will give you comfort. Thanks for sharing this emotional tribute.

Beautiful tribute--I know Brian is smiling down on you for composing such a wonderful poem;
The fond memories are heart-warming-I can envision the two of you singing to the silly songs as you are driving along;
"Was this a dream?"--this is exactly my feeling when I learned of my mother's passing--we feel like we are walking around in a fog--nothing seems clear-at all;
The memories we treasure, are so valuable, this is all we have of our loved ones;
May they rest in peace
xx
