I really like the ending :) and I agree that superstitions are just silly stories. Jesus is the only true power, and He is all-powerful!
Good meaning in this poem, thanks for sharing.

I agree with your words. There is no such thing as bad or good luck. Your poem has a clear message and I like how you lead up to belief in God.

I admit that luck is most likely not real...But sometimes, you meet that one person who always seems to have it. But very good point made in a wonderful poem. Thanks for sharing.

This is a wonderful poem, with a very important reflection about superstitions. This is hard to believe how people can be so suggestible to all this kind of silly things.
GREAT JOB Justin!!

This poem sets forth the idea that lucky charms don't work. He suggests giving it up for Jesus and let him be in control.

Good luck!

You get my five even though I don't particularly agree with what you wrote - you got a mite preachy at the end pushing Jesus when not everybody necessarily believes in Him nor do they have to believe as you do, so the way I see it you can only talk for yourself and not for the 'we'.

I know a few old folks who laugh at their little superstitions but regardless kind of enjoy them and they get a bit of a comfort from them...why would anyone take that comfort away from them.

...and then this :
Because God has created a beautiful scene.

With violets, daffodils, and grasses of green.

Bestowed upon you to celebrate this day.

Tell that to the starving children in poverty stricken countries who die thousands a day because they don't even have the strength to crawl to the Red Cross food vans and if they do it is often too little and too late...Good write, you put some thought in it. Thank you - Dinah

I agree with you that there is no such thing as luck. Luck is either when being prepared and an opportunity meet, or it is a gift of God. While your message is true and worthy of spreading around, your actual poetic structure is unsound and I am afraid that you are paying people to rate it highly. Even I have taken advantage of your offer but am trying to give good advice. Peter

Brilliant. In this world of quick fix and seeking to place blame outside of ourselves, we seek comfort in superstition.

Only by living in the real world can we ever be truly at peace and full of strength to handle lifes challenges

What an interesting and unique piece of writing.
'Ladders and black cats are too stagnant to be a bore'I find this to be a bit of a contadiction in terms! Sorry! An evangelical piece with some spiritual qualities. Not sure I particularly like your slur on the Irish people.
