Nice free verse, I know that free verse do not really have to flow smoothly, but some lines in your poem disturbed me a little bit more, so I am sorry I cannot give you 5. But you put your message across quite well, I just didn`t find the form totally excellent. I hope you know what I mean. Tina

I agree , I totally agree with you,as I am not superstitious , but if nothing works for you or thing doesn't go your way you tend to fall into this fortune tellers trap.

I totally agree: there is no such thing as luck. Thanks for sharing your view of it.

Into a world (of) old fables and folktales that aren't true.

This is a nicely written poem. It flowed well and it carried an important message. Some people get obsessed with superstition and forget to live their life to the full.

Very nicely done and well thought out! I like the message!
You are so right that people take this garbage seriously, when they should be believing what's right!!

Aloha from Hawaii, I like the message and feel the same as you. There are a lot of superstitions and folk lore in Hawaii. I only believe in God's beauty that is everywhere I look. Aloha Hawaiian Mermaid

So please just relax your heart mind and soul.

Get those wicked superstitions out of your psyche.

And give yourself to Jesus and let Him be in control.

For He is the Lord, strong and Mighty.

Superstitions are passed down from generation to generation, and are just part of peoples' lives,
but I'm sure very few take them seriously.

a good poem, ending with strong advice.

Margaret

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

What goes around comes around. Somehow that is a hope filled saying also, I love my Jesus and I need prayers at times. The reason I don't care for that saying is that God Forgives and so many people think IF someone sins then they will GET their just return. LOL I just want a greatness in return. CYA dude.

Oh the chains we have that bind us are only the result of fear and the keys we have to free us are within our soul so dear! (just made that up...)

Superstitions are really Stupidstitions.
So believe in yourself and in your God and live your live as He and you want to. Nice Job!
