James knows a lot about Alfina and her culture. It will take much patience from Angela to be able to live with Alfina. Alfina comes from a very interesting culture. I hope eventfully the two women learn to live with each other.

This is one time that James's intelligence and good memory come in handy. Alfina has a lot of adjusting to do and with both Angela and James she should do fine.

VERY INFORMATIVE CHAPTER REGARDING NOT ONLY GYPSY BEHAVIORS, BUT THE DIFFERENT CLANS OF GYPSY HISTORY. FROM BEING SUCH TIGHT NIT GROUPS YOU CAN SEE HOW A NATURAL DISTRUST OF OUTSIDERS WOULD BE PART OF THEIR PSYCHOLOGICAL MAKE UP. WELL DONE!
TAKE CARE,
RAY

Most gypsies wont even tell a gaje their first name because of fear it can be used in a curse. Yes, they are very distrustful of outsiders.

A good write with imagery and needs no edit .The piece was in a descriptive script and the reader could follow it without loosing interest to the story. Mary

Thank you. I am pleased you found this interesting.

I marvel at the level of research you do to write. I think that is one reason I would not tackle a novel. I'm too lazy, lol. I found the information about the mokkadi, and about term the "gypsy" to be fascinating and informative. Thanks. Linda

Thank you. Yes, I have had to do a lot of research for this but fortunately I found it all very interesting.

This was a great chapter to the story. I am enjoying hearing about the 2 ladies adjusting to each other's lifestyle. I think I must have been a gypsy in a previous life... I do the same things Alina does. Giddy

Thanks. I am thrilled you liked this one. I was a bit concerned that it was too complicated.

Had a little trouble here; know you had to explain the ways of Granny and why she is that way and I found this fascinating. I don't know how else you could get it in, the ways of Granny. It seems somewhat isolated from the story...don't know. It is well written and tell it did hold my attention. Maybe I am suffering from review fatigue.
Read it twice and second time I was more into it.
As always good writing.

Grandma's behavior will have a large impact on the ending of the book. That's about all I can say at this time.

I applaud Angela for taking Alfina in ... it sounds like she is a difficult house guest. LOL But, I am sure that she is an interesting one.
I am on Alfina's side about healing with herbs, at least they do not cause all of the weird side-effects of modern drugs.
I gave Dog some simple flea medication ... an hour after taking it ... he went temporarily blind, lost his balance and had a seizure. When I called the vet ... he said, "Well, that is one of the side effect ... it will pass." I decided then that a flea or two was no big deal. LOL
Hugs, d

Modern Romani actually use herbal alone with modern medicine learning the side effects and whether the two can be used in conjunction.
Comment from James Sarzotti
Glad you're continuing on with renewed vigor.
...mokkadi code; whatever that is. She had a fit when I washed the dishes in the kitchen sink after I washed a pair of socks in the sink--apparently, also against the mokkadi code. << Very funny.
I like the info on Irish and Scottish travelers, too. James pulls off the encyclopedic well.
This novel is shaping up nicely. Very sharp, crisp lighting. Looking forward to more.
Cheers, James

Grandmother's role in the book is taking on more importance. I am pleased you enjoyed this one.

Hi Sasha,
Poor Angela she must learn the ways of the Gypsy so she won't upset grandmother! I can relate to both sides. I liked the information on the Gypsy and you must have studied a long time in order to become familiar with the rules. Well done....blessings, chey

Thanks. Yes, my brain is on overload right now. I am pleased you found this interesting.

'Mokkadi' is a chapter that is "more information then my little brain can hold", but is highly interesting. I feel like I've read a history lesson and you give readers a vision of the world that is so full ever-changing social traditions. You manage that in a very entertaining way, Sasha.
bathroom is one word: '....wash up in the bath()room."
This chapter adds well to the story. Marie
