Successful smooth lay of story line. You succeeded making me feel as part of the party. Then came the suspense - 'the end of part one'. Good language run too. Looking forward to read further parts.

I just knew things were going along too perfectly to last! Good time to have a complication, though. I think you are very wise not to have Joseph reveal the problem immediately but to draw things out and keep your readers guessing. Very nice!
