great job with syllable count however this needs more refinement and sophistication with such few words ..you could make this so much better especially given the American Bald Eagle in particular the closing lines.

I was curious one time as to why eagles are called bald when I couldn't see that they were in pictures I have seen.
So I looked it up the old fashioned way since we had no Google and found that the French of all people had named them. They used the word "blanc" which actually means white in French. Somehow that got translated into bald in English!
So here's a tip;always research as much as you can on any subject you write on unless it's strictly from your imagination! You used it (your imagination) well here in telling us what that eagle was thinking. Good creativity! God bless, Deniz

Hi,
I like your poem; it made me smile. However, I have to wonder about the use of 'hair' on the flamingos' heads, unless it is actually called hair instead of feathers? Good job. Keep up the writing.

True, true. Thanks for the suggestion. I guess the eagle didn't know he wasn't the only creature that was bald:) I'll be more careful next time. Thanks for the advice;)
