Excellent beginning Haiku, Joy. This one's Americanized (having punctuation...At least that's what I call it)
I suggest you try several types of poems to see which kinds fit you, and you like writing. Everyone's different, and expresses themselves differently.
Haiku and Senryu type poems have a certain Japanese feel that I never could understand, so I try to stay away from them.
Keep writing.

Thank You, I appreciate your time to review and rate my piece. I decided to use the punctuation to create the way I would have wanted it read. I've never done a Haiku before at least not knowingly until now! Thanks again

Your welcome and thank you for your time in review and rating. It just sort of popped out after the invitation for a first free contest. I realize that's what this is all about...thoughts on paper. It was exactly how I felt!
