Wow, what a court scene. I could feel the hate of the families of the girls that were murdered. James is the one that suffered the most. Great chapter.

Outstanding, Sasha, fabulous visuals in there.
I'm surprised John even bothered to cry. Most serial killers are devoid of any form of pity or compassion. And unfortunately, considering the publicity his case generated, he won't even get the kind of retribution one could hope for one such as John, but he won't get into general population. Too bad.
Great job,
I'm off for more,

Gayle

The only emotion they are able to show is for themselves.

You did an unnervingly realistic job of taking the reading into the court room and into the mind of James. I don't know if I would have been have been as brave as him. What he said did more to save his own soul and those of the victim's families than he could possibly know; a person that they could forgive. Brilliant writing.

So,so powerfully elegantly written,as this brought tears to my eyes as I read the things each person expressed and the
unmoveable pain that each of them knew they had to somehow
learn to deal with for the rest of their lives, but when James steped up and started to speak,I had to take several
breaks as the tears started to flow out of my eyes feeling
his very emotional state being unable to truly console those
that his father actions effected, then exploding on his father as if he himself was a judge pronouncing his own direct sentencing, striping his father literally and totally
bare of everything leaving him absolutely and very completely forever alone with no one he could ever turn to for anykind of love but himself....This just really blew me completely away my friend....You are so very talented....Cranial Thinker

Sasha,
Chapter thirty-two is brilliantly written and proved to his family that James was right about their evil father and husband being a sociopath with no regard for human life, they are narrsistic, vain, sexual fucked up and murder fules their beast within. Your court room scenes are riviting and as I read I could visualize the court room drama in my head. Your a rock star author, my friend. I'd recommend this latest chapter to other reviewers. I'll catch your next chapter. Please have a lovely day.
Melissa.

Thanks. I am so pleased you liked this one.

I would expect nothing else from James than speaking from the heart. Each testimony was touching and James' words and their impact were very powerful as evidenced by your vivid description of the courtroom's players. He accomplished his goal. -Joan

Even though the Judge said not to approach the defendant, I don't think I could be that close and ot go over and slap his face, or worse. It is so heartbreaking to hear those relatives speak about thei murdered loved one. This is a real tear-jerker but a very good chapter.

In the Jeffry Dalmer case, a family member had to be restrained. Sorry it made you cry.

Court Part 3 is a super chapter, Sasha. You have written this episode about the genius kid like you, too, are a genius. James' speech is brilliantly done and the way you end this piece gives him hope that he can be trusted and people are not likely to think he is evil like his dad. Great read! Marie

I am sure it is a relief to James that his family is more understanding than he expected.

I cannot even glance at the author notes in this chapter for my eyes are too blurry! It is one of the most moving chapters I have ever read, and more powerful then the most dramatic scene. Giddy

If it helps, I cried too. Hard chapter to write. I tend to get emotionally wrapped up in the writing. Sorry of I made you cry.

I am pleased to see that James was vindicated.
I doubt that his family will quite as pleased with him ... I am sure some of them will blame James.
You paint such a real picture of events ... almost feels like a memoir.

It is hard to know exactly how the family will respond to James's speech. I am so pleased you liked this one.
