Obviously Romani and Romanian are two different lauguages??? I have heard of Romanian. Boy, those poor children taken to be wives and having to give birth when they were mere children themselves. So sad. This is a really good chapter. A lot of info in this one.

Unfortunately, I know this sort of sickness exists in the world, but it is still horrible to contemplate what a terrible life James' father had. Although there is much intrigue and hidden secrets in the story, I like that you have given James an open and honest persona, one of integrity and honor. Quite a contrast to his father. Well done. Hi Smurphy
The horror continues.
It's quite unsettling looking into the mad of a madman. All those woman and children his evil has touched.
The tension is really coming to a boil.

with his different wives and babies..
he must have been insane.
I had no need [for](of) a girl.

Hi Smurph,
I am so glad you are posting a chapter in this book everyday. That means I don't have to wait too long for more answers. It seems since the dad murdered Marie Anne he can be charged with murder and get a sentence of death. Why would he want James to speak at his sentencing?. Surely he must know what James thinks of him. I'm waiting for the next chapter....blessings, chey *****

Hi Sasha, hope you had a gorgeous weekend. I bet you spent it at the beach!
It is amazing how mental illness and instability often run in families. Over the last year or two, I've been doing research on a variety of disorders and the incidence of a child with ABD, for instance, as often as not has a parent or sibling with the same or similar disorder. It's in the genes, I guess.
Great job,
Hugs,
Gayle

Yes, I spent it at the beach. Certain forms of mental illness have definitely been proven to be genetic. But many do not. It still boils down to environment and lifestyle for many.

Hi Valerie:)
No wonder James' father was twisted mentally. It's obvious that he was terribly abused by his father. I wonder how much of his ancestry he knew. Do you plan to reveal when John changed his family name to Mathews.
The speculation that James' grandfather could still be alive is an incredible twist. How many more wives....?
James is certainly seeking to do what he can for all the victims and their families. I wonder how Dad wil react when he finds out that some of his crim are no longer secrets.
The real mystery now is who delivered the diary to john Mathews.
I noted what I believe is a small error:1. The answer James was looking for was not in the journal. isn't James narrating what is in the diary?
this story continues to grow more intense with each post. I can't wait to see it published and made into a blockbuster movie, as I am convinced it will be.
Love and Iris hugs to give you more strength to finish.

Yes there are plenty of twists in this story. I do plan to tell when and how James's father changed his name to Mathews. Thanks for catching the change in POV. I'll go back and fix that.
