Okay, I loved this. I really did. It was extremely clever, and I loved all the ideas and observations about the site. The picture was nice too. Only problem for me was the name-dropping made it seem kind of in-group, as if you didn't have any awards and a lot of followers, you weren't invited to the party. I know you did't intend it that way, just thought you might want to know how I felt. (or not)

Waas simplt trying to acknowledge the stars on site, but get your meaning. Trouble is the nebies are invible until they come ino your radar.

Great story, well written and in keeping with the contest rules.
However,the BYOB rule is a little on the stingy side. What is wrong with a few bottles of turpentine mixed with tonic water, cheap and cheerful, at least until the morning lol.

Bible thumpers? perhaps a few of us lol. I love the idea of trailing stars, people extending blue ribbons. Your famous author caught me by surprise but I loved your speech! A very magical party :)

I don't think I have enough time to create a story. I'm looking to learn better writing techniques from the pros on this one :) I'd have to pull an all nighter. Whine, whine, whine...

Just curious why you would use your FS$ to create...you could learn as much from reading existing members stories you admire. Suggest you go to the top ten list on the right side of screen and click on members name. It will takr you to their profile and then read their winning stories.

Wow! I am humbled. What a wonderful testimonial for FanStory and beautifully presented. I think the Toms should consider this as part of their "indoctrination" into this wonderland of writing. It certainly would encourage newcomers.
