Oh, what an imagination! I love this story. It's told by a non-threatening, innocent, sweet ghost. I liked that she was able to haunt Barnaby. Also, it was a nice innocent addition at the end when Penelope wanted Emily to also be dead. If I were not retired, I would have loved to read this story to my young students. We could have had a discussion about ghosts and what they would do if they were in the story. Well done.

Thank you. You are one of few thought my little ghost was sweet and non-threating, I'm glad you liked her. I had to make us a story to go with that piccture and this was the result.

I don't write fiction often but did more when I was on here several years ago. It is good to use your imagination once in a while. I appreciate the review.

Thank you for review Rosemary. I don't write much fiction. I think I wrote this eleven years ago and since I didn't have any thing ready I decided to post it. I may join a group at some point. I was in a local group with I wrote this story which was inspired by the picture. I don't believe in ghosts.

I like this, Beth. It's a different kind of ghost story, from the perspective of a child ghost. Makes me wonder if the "imaginary" friends my children had when we were on the farm could have been actual ghosts! We never heard the history of the previous owners. lol Well done.

At first, we're sympathetic to her but by the end, it seems she plans something harmful for Emily so that she can always have a playmate. I also like the humor you added with the attempts to exorcise the ghost.

Thank you for a great review. The first time I was on fanStory, if they asked for a horror story, I would write one. Horror isn't something I'm fond of, but I guess it challenges one's creativity.

Barnaby went insane because he killed his sister. Sweet revenge.

Well I wrote it eleven years ago so maybe I've sweetened up sense then. However my children say I'm an enigma, so I guess that means you never quite know what to expect out of me. It isn't a good idea to let all your secrets out at once. LOL
