It is hard to make this format sound natural and acceptable, but I think you achieved it with this one. I love the structure and rhyme scheme and most of all, the brilliant colours you used present it. Good luck

Hi, there. This is a beautiful poem! Just wanted to pass along the word...I have an entry that I was informed was not in compliance. I did not read the directions well enough...the last two lines are to rhyme. So, I've gone back to change it.

Thank you for reading my poem. Sometimes, changes are a good thing. I look forward to reading your work. I wish you much luck in the contest as well.

I couldn't agree with you more LOL. I've learned, if nothing else from this site, to be flexible AND to read the contest rules better HAHA. Take care, Bev

I can't offer you five stars because the final duo doesn't end rhyme. If it were mine, though, I wouldn't care about forgoing the comp because it's so good as it is. To hell with restriction and let it live. Great poem and beautiful imagery to compliment its real lushness. Cheers. Alyx.

I dunno about rhyme, but it has rhythm. Good tempo is everything. Thanks!

Check out the prompt criteria. The last 2 lines must rhyme. I tried to think of suggestions without changing your work, but cant come up with a thing...sorry. Good luck.

I like your poem; the only hang-up is in the last line. The tree itself would not ripen, only the apricots. Just a suggestion: Apricot tree, when will they be ripe?

I dunno. 'You' sounds good. 'the fruit' sounds biblical and it's 10 syllables. 'They' could be mistaken as unloving. I'll play with the words.

    Thank you.

I was thinking:
apricot tree, I deeply fancy thee

but I am a crazy person that loves apricots.

The picture is so beautiful!

I like your poem. I could not see how you could improve upon it.

I like the image too. I love apricots too, but it's not a fanatic love. It's gentle and kind.

    You're nice. Thank you.
    Have a great weekend.
