I like the subtle way you lead to the divorce. The fence as symbol freedom works great. I really like the art work. Good luck in the contest.

This was very entertaining and very well written. You held my attention all the way through this piece. You made me feel sorry for Cynthia and what she had to put up with and you also gave her a back bone. You go girl :)

What an interesting story, nice way to get rid of the good for nothing layabout, by the sounds of it.
Why do so many woman stay when they know long before that the other person is pulling them down. I was lucky I suppose for I got out from an abusive marriage within two years.

Great story. i like the subtle way you
let the reader know Brad's a rat through
the dialogue with Cynthia.
always good to read a story where a weak
character gains strength.
Nicely done.

Ah, yes. The whole American dream that a white picket fence stands for can be very different from person to person. This story is an excellent illustration of that--and very well written to boot.

Wow ... finally Cynthia mustered the courage to erect a fence as a symbol of a perfect life for herself. Good timing and everything for her, and good reading for us ... :)
