That was brilliant.

I did something similar with The Lord's Prayer.

Yes we all have doubts and pain is something we can't measure in scriptures, but, sometimes it helps to have an argument eith ourselves.

What you've also done here is give crdit to an unknown author, who likely as not, stretched out his/her doubts and today you are bringing them back, in everyone's life, in your quest for understanding.

A stirring poem of a soul crying out in darkness and despair. A wonderful message of hope and overcoming doubt, anger, hurt to bathe in the light and love of God. I like the way you interspersed cries of despair with the lines from the 23rd psalm. There are times when words do seem to mock us until God opens our hearts to receive healing. Well done.

Kiwi, your break down of replies to each line in Psalms is not only brutally honest and deeply felt, but brilliantly written. The first two stanzas drew me right in. Who hasn't felt that way at one time or another if they are honest?

I know I have.
I admit I was surprised to see this was written by you. LOL
I read your birthday poem and some of your more erotic pieces (which I loved):-)

So this is just an excellent example of the range your talent is able to reach. This was very well done!
A truly brilliant and deep write. Good luck! Pearl

Thank you for this beautiful and generous review Pearle...surprise is good no? The one thing I have always found is that life is meant to be lived and then written about brutally and honestly ...never deviate from your path of truth Pearle...you'll only let yourself down.

I intend to read more of your work. I was blown away by your piece. tc xoxo Kiwi

You tell the story of your epiphany well - I am not familiar with Joyce Meyer, but it's clear she had a positive influence on you.
Your commentary lines after each line of the 23rd psalm show great insight into your state of mind. Brooke

Such powerful writing, Kiwi. I am so glad I waited to read this in the morning light. The two voices at the beginning really make us focus on both the words of the psalm and the responses of the 'lost soul'. But then to follow it with that wonderful free verse, deafening in its simplicity, was breath taking. I just loved
'I said / Please /Here I am/I don't know what else/You would have me do/but, give me the strength/to put my faith back in you' I have kept reading that over and over again. Well done, this was fantastic. x moyramouse

Once again Moyra your words of encouragement leave me speechless. I'm not so sure how I wrote this. It was done as though I knew exactly what I wanted to say in a trance like state of mind. I seem to be running low on lots of things just now and it's coming out dark at the moment. Thank you again for the honor you give me with such a rating. hugs and love your friend deborah

Hey xoxo, so happy to read this write, so sincere verses that reflect your faith and trust in God and in that your own self-confidence. You took the reader from bad to good with complete justification of the individual transformation. We all go through such times, the key is waking up and seeing Him. God bless you.

your interpretation of this Psalm is clever and amusing, yet reigns with deep meaning that I definitely understand. The message of this poem became clearer the more I read, and I found it uplifting in the latter part. This is a very well penned poem and one that I enjoyed immensely. xx Michelle

I own JM books and listen to her also. I understand the poem well, and I can grasp the good outcome through the words. I just have a suggestion that the poem (1/2) not be worded (1/2), because it sounds like it is added to the psalm 23. I think maybe just paralell it with poem. Just a suggestion:)

It's a good thought Donna and greatly appreciated but, this one will have to stand as is...I wrote in in a trance from a dark place inside my heart last night. So fed up with people taking everything for granted as though it's their right to do and say whatever they will thinking there will be no consequence. Thank you for stopping by and for your incredibly kind review. xoxo Kiwi

I know that too, and it is your poem, and if it's where you want it to be, then that's your choice. I don't like changing my writing either, unless it's spag:)
