On islands or in flooded timber patches, he builds stick nests high in the trees. Cormorants eagerly anticipate the opportunity to display their crests each spring. This is a great tribute. A real written story in a poem. Once a year, they shine. Thank you for such a great post. Good Luck.

Great picture of the cormorant and well-written verse to describe. That is interesting that their crest only appears in the spring. Amazing how our Lord created each species of bird and animal with different features.

Birds are endlessly fascinating. Whether it's the seasonal crown of the cormorant or the vivid plumage of macaws, or the intelligence of crows, or the stamina of migrating flocks, I'm left awestruck.
