this is fun and creative and clever and i adore the cadence and the overall general happy mood, and its also neat to live through the eyes of the scarecrow's ups and downs as you've presented so many concepts related herein. great work! made me smile and think. love to do both.

Your life is easy, filled with joy
Mine is without a mate to dance
But I'm a scarecrow, not man, nor boy
Would a straw beauty take the chance?
I love this sort of offshoot of the Wiz and all the emotions of the scarecrow too. Great job girl and a write that touches the senses too!!!

This is such an adorable poem of an iconic character from the Wizard of Oz. The Scarecrow. It was the most magical movie I had ever seen as a child. I love how you expressed so well what he must feel and the way you incorporated the yellow brick road in the last stanza. Capturing to beautifully what we all seek down the yellow brick road. One hopeful wish. Thanks for sharing. This was truly a delight!

My hat is not of dappers style
Unshaved I am with haggard dregs
But still I wear a cheerful smile" What a sweet, sweet poem this is Jimi. He's lookin' for love! So dear!

Judian, once again I am so happy to see you stop by. You have been away for a while. Yes, this was just written on a whim, inspired by another writer on the site. again thank you so much..jimi

Jimi,
This is an excellent poem about the dude who wanted to get a set of brains. But as boring as his job is, maybe he'd be better off without him. I recognize the actor in the picture, although his name escapes me.
I couldn't find anything to criticize.

~L~ Truthfully, the scarecrow was always my favorite. And guys always complain that it's so hard for them to attract a mate, this poor fellow really has it rough! Nicely done! :)

I hail from the birthplace of Frank L. Baum and this is on the money. In our local Oz Fest, I was the Tin Man. My blonde daughter was Dorithy in a lovely blue dress and brown wig. LOL Neat work here my friend, Cheers, Don

Good day jlsavell
Your scarecrow rhyming poem made me smile.
With the silly face and the silly clothes to me would make the crows have a good time laughing.

How fantastic is this! It trips off the tongue like spring water. Let me see, have I saved a sixer? Aaaaaah yes, and well deserved too. Eric

You have great artwork and a good flow with your poem-you rhyme well and give good description -you write and describe the scare crow to a tee--he is lifeless but his job is to scare crows away--great job.
