Poor dogs take the blame for so many things, from the stink of the fart to stealing the chocolate. I loved this, just like two little kids. great job.

Begin again, this brief story is pregnant with numerous qualities of fiction. It grabs attention. holds that interest with suspense deals with character descriptions and a has a dab of humor. This is truly quality in a nutshell.

This little piece caused a giggle within me. I could
identify with those two scallywags and that chocolate
was more than a body child or adult could resist.

Well done.

That's for sure...If there is chocolate to be had, my mouth is wrapped around it. Smiles...Carol

This is really cute, but chocolate can be deadly to dogs. It's one of those things they are NOT supposed to eat. Your short story is very cute and was fun to read.

    Barbara,

I know that they say chocolate is deadly for our four legged friends but I have had several who followed their owner's cravings and stole my hiddeen treats...Maybe my love for chocolate and them saved us all. LOL Smiles, Carol

Is this Frankie related to our other Frankie? Now these twins are mischievous and then blaming everything on the poor doggie. I bet they've been chomping all the chocolates all the time.
Well penned. luv jada

Brilliant.
You built up the suspense in a space of about 100 words and the ending was grand.
I wish you good luck in the contest.

Hi Carol,

Cute story, which certainly rings of two mischeifous little boys and I wonder how many times a child's poor pet has taken the blame. Your story flows nicely and the scene is clear and easily envisioned. Good job and thank you for sharing.

Do people really keep chocolate in the attic ... and it doesn't melt? LOL I would hate to have to scamper up to the attic for a chocolate fix. That poor puppy...I bet he gets blamed for everything with those twins. A fun story, Carol, and I enjoyed it.

    Indy,

People like me keep chocolate everywhere...but it wasn't from the attic ...the trunk was just a decoy at the begining of the story..a treasure you know...Smiles, CArol
