A whole story in so few words - wonderful. If the picture was not there I would have been curious to the end. Curiosity keeps me reading.

This is extremely cute. I used to read to by stomach when I was pregnant with my boys. I am sure that's why they love to read. Anyway, this was well written and fun to read. I smiled.

Charming, charming, charming!! I loved this story Carol and I remember those days so well ... talking to my tummy, eating for two, anxious to be a mom!! I loved this!!

    Work is just about done..Got the carpet last Friday...Still bathrooms to complete,kitchen, etc. Move is planned for Sept 20...then the yard work begins. Thank you for asking...Smiles, Carol

Hi Carol,

What a sweet story and it couldn't have come at a better time. I just finished reading "Lov & peace" recent post and it was so sad. So your little story was the perfect pick-me-up!
Cute and to the point in so few words, an excuse I often used (eating for two) to indulge myself. Good job and thank you for sharing your cute story.

Carol, this is so sweet and I can imagine this loving scene so easily. I always talked to my babies before their arrival and played music for them. I enjoyed your story very much.

Carol,
your flash fiction is wonderfully written. You conveyed a story in very few words. Excellent narrative, great dialogue and very detailed writing in so few words. Fitting art work of the pregnant lady. I enjoyed the lines:

The red and yellow circus box tipped and animal crackers scattered across my tray. My fingers picked one and slipped it into my mouth.

I made a mental note to buy another box. After all, I was eating for two and teaching too!

What a delightful flash fiction tale. I eat animal crackers and I'm not pregnant. I had a hysterectomy at 27 and can't have kids but I also stopped having periods. Thank the Lord!
