This is an outstanding piece of work. Very well written, good rhyme and meter. Very imaginative writing, full of vivid imagery though its theme is dark and horrifying. Gave me the shivers!

I generally ignore the poetry because it looks like someone just slapped down any old thing. With no rhythm or rhyme, no verse length, how can one tell whether it took any skill to write it or now?
This, on the other hand, took some skill to write and time to make it come out right. Good job.

Thank you, Elphaba :-). It's been a real tough journey, writing these ten chapters, but hugely reqarding. I'm so glad you enjoyed this closing chapter so much; I was determined to make it a worthwhile conclusion. Your review has given me a huge smile, this hot and muggy night in London :-)

This is a emotional and appropriate ending. Nice moral. If we leave things alone, we might see the world grow again. Decay will stop and new things will grow.
It is sad what we have done to the ground and air. This story can become all too true.
The rhyme and rhythm are great.
I see no errors.

Thank you, Joan :-). I'm both relieved and sad to have finished this tale. I was worried the ending might be a little too bleak, but it felt so right for the preceeding story!
