No. I guess I should do something about that, but as some of my other works are, well, a bit adult I wasn't sure. Thanks for reading

Beautifully written snodlander. You certainly have the gift of writing well. This is a joy to read. Has plenty of action and is different to regular children's stories. I can see why it has earned a Seal of Quality and been Recognised. Thanks, Diane.

Pretty awesome stuff here, my friend. I enjoyed the easy, free-flowing pace of the dialogue, and really was charmed by the intelligence and fearlessness of Annabelle. It was a great depiction of a child that is obviously wise beyond her years.
Sorry I couldn't find any mistakes (LOL), but this beauty is just about perfect!
Thanks for the fun read!

I am new to this, but I am assuming that when someone is given the Seal of Quality, it HAS to be good, and it is. This short piece really shows how kids have changed. When I was younger, we wouldn't have DARED to talk back to the Bogeyman. It just shows the boldness of youth today. I can imagine many young ones gathered round listening to this being read out loud at storytime in school or at the library. I can even hear their giggles. What a great job on squelching those night time fears that so many kids (and big kids) have. Great job and congratulations!

I came here to see what kind of work is worthy of a seal of quality and your story intrigued me from the first sentence.
I think it is a great story to tell children to make them realize that no bogey man can hurt them. They can be brave like Annabel.
Now you got me hooked,I will have to read the next chapter.
Congratulations on the seal of quality. This first chapter is worthy of it in my opinion. If the rest are of the same standard then you truly deserved the seal.

I'm sure you've heard this quite a few times, but this is exquisite. It's familiar, yet original, and you've succeeded in capturing the attention of the reader with humor, immediacy, and alluring abandon from normalcy. Quite a lot in such a short space. Wonderful! You definitely deserve the Seal of Quality!

This is a very interesting story...
I did find one mistake though. You have "Anne" instead of "Annabelle." ""I told you to stop that," Anne told him."
You have a great way of writing.

Brilliant! That's the kind of tale I like - where the little girl. or boy, has one-up on the 'dreaded' BM. A l;ovely tale and well deserved accolades.

You held my interest with this piece. What a smart and fearless girl that Annabelle is. Not sure if all kids would challenge the Bogy Man.

I'm so glad I decided to read this. I think it would be great published for children too. I have to tell you, Have you seen Monsters Inc? a little of that in here. Also, I have never really seen the earned seal of quality. Awesome. Great work, a lot of fun. I hope to read more of your stories.
hugs book

Well, I'm glad you did too. You're not the first to mention Monsters Inc, though that wasn't uppermost in my mind at the time. Thanks for the review and generous score.
