A wonderful tribute to nature here and just now we have two swans in our local pool who seemed to have settled in and everyone is happy to see them. I feed them both daily and they remember me! A fine well constructed write and I loved the words within, love Dolly x

Thank you for the great review, Dolly. Indeed, there is so much to be grateful for. He has been very generous. It is unfortunate that too many people forget about it.

What a nice poem. I felt to be there. I love the sunshine.. It changes peoples moods. Then then beautiful swans as they set on the water they look so contented. Thank you for sharing.

This poem is upbeat and will cheer the readers. This invites the reader to be grateful and to examine what goes on with them from day to day. The sensory images you describe will draw the reader in. Nicely done.

You have some nice colorful phrases here. At first I didn't notice it. but you have a good rhyme scheme going. It must be nice to wake up to clear blue skies each morning.

Yes, your final stanza is golden indeed. It sums up the peace portrayed so effortlessly in the first two stanzas. We spend precious little time appreciating nature; what a lovely poetic reminder to sit back and enjoy the view!---

    Karen, you are back!!!

What a wonderful surprise! Today is a double holiday for me indeed. I am so happy you are here, again, and predict many wonderful days for you ahead. Your supreme talent was missed here, and now will shine the brightest light on us, mortals.

I am happy you liked this poem; I take a dive at spiritual poetry every now and then, and find it a solace for the mind. This one is for those who forget how much we have to be grateful for; and praising the Lord for all he has given us.

Thank you again - oh, wow, this is a treat!

    Love and blessings, Yelena

rain's outpoor - outpour
Your quatrains have steady cadence and strong abab rhyming, Yelena, and I love the scene you paint - it is lovely to envision those swans gliding over the lake beneath the crimson sunset :-) what a lovely tribute to all the beauty of God's creation. Brooke

Hello dear friend! This is such an optimistic and beautiful poem. I wanted to wait until tomorrow to give you a six and realized you know when I open your PM's...that said, I will try to remember tomorrow to upgrade...there is beautiful imagery, lovely words, and a great message in this piece...Sue

Thank you so much, dear Sue, for this wonderful review and the thought of six stars. I am deeply moved. I always find solace writing spiritual poetry; and perhaps I should do it more often.

I enjoyed writing this one immensely.

Bless you, dear friend, you are my California sunshine.

From the far East Coast with much love,

Don't make it too spiritual though, dear friend...because that turns a lot of us off even though there is a large fan base out there. I liked the subtlety of your piece. I don't want to be preached at...if you know what I mean...Hugs, Sue

No, just a tad bit spiritual, the kind this poem is. Glad you enjoyed; and the innuendo in this reply reminded me of our conversation this morning. I get the drift!

    wink, wink.. You understand?

After the revolution of 1917 in Russia the church was separated from the State, subjecting us to years of involuntary atheism. I don't think you can make a religious fanatic out of me if you try!! lol.

But I enjoyed the poem I wrote today; found it soothing.

I can tell...it was soothing to me as well...
