This is a great story in so few words. Your words pulled me right into that general store. I like the play on ticket. The dialogue and descriptions were right on.

Your story had me smiling. It described a typical conversation/event between people disappointed because their lottery ticket wasn't a winner. We can all relate to this and the romantic ending was lovely

I enjoyed your little story. There is a sense of community at the lottery counter and you captured that with the realistic dialogue. I bought a megamillion ticket and there was friendly chatter in line. I'm glad you decided to share this.
