I can relate to your poem very well. My first husband was a cowboy. Not an urban cowboy but a real one. He was a wonderful man. My biggest mistake was divorcing him.

The flow was smooth. Good atmosphere and thrilling emotions.

I only spotted one small error, nothing to get too upset about-

He tried to close that gap in life, both came from (deferent) worlds
**different

Everything else was clean. Comprehensible and very nicely written.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Very well written poem on the loss of a love because of lack of understanding and cooperation due to vast differences of opinion and lifestyle.
Your poem certainly invokes a lot of emotion and thought.
It has great flow and rhyming - Great! :)

I like this piece very much. It has an expansive feel to it, almost like what I imagine a ranch could feel like. With your refrains, I can also see it as a song.

I like the sad message of the cowboy's heartache. Too bad that years separate in terms of lifestyles and desires. I don't like that the rhyming pattern of the balance of the poem completely fails in the 3rd stanza.

This is a nice piece that showcases the sadness of this heart-broken cowboy. The word different was spelt wrongly. You started out with some rhymes but lost it along the way. The repetition of some lines worked well. well done

I really like this poem. My daughter was in love with a cowboy for three years and eventually decided to leave him. She is a city girl, and his dream has been to follow his father's footsteps and take over the cattle ranch. They could never agree on a compromise. This poem so reminds me of their situation. Very nice done; great rhyming throughout. Connie C

You tell a sad tale of the cowboy who chose his ranchlife above the woman he loved. But life never promises to be easy. I enjoyed the poem and wish you well for the contest. luv jada
