This phrase grabbed me, dear writer "In the shadows, two banditos slurped cheap wine and dreamt of their own Garden of Eden." What a concept and fresh idea! I wish you the best in the contest.

This is a haunting and powerful piece of writing. It is so sad and traumatic and I was very relieved that it in effect had a happy ending in the end. Abuse against women is terrible and your writing would be fitting for a campaign poster. Well written.

This story certainly illustrates the power and tragedy of violence - how often it shatters the dreams and lives of the innocent, who learn all too suddenly that life is not nearly as lovely as they envision it. The way you contrast her idea of paradise and their idea of the garden of Eden is most effective. Brooke

I'm so glad this ended with angels welcoming her home. Really well done and for such a small piece of fiction it invokes a lot of emotions.
