This is nice, but it is more like 25 ft. in the air. What a crazy breed of skiers to fly so high.
Great picture.
Good Luck.

Poet,
This is a perfect Rictameter poem about the aerial skiing at the Olympics. It amazes me what these death defying men and women do in the air. Great photo. Your poem is well written. I love the last four lines the best:

Arms emulating soaring wings.
Poets of gravity,
White grace,
Skiers.

Great imagery for a poem with a restrictive syllable count. A wonderful entry for the writing prompt to write a Rictameter Poem.
Missy.

Aren't they just amazing?! flips and twists and splits. They do resemble birds. I really love your last three lines: Poets of of gravity/White grace/Skiers. Beautiful description, that. Mary

Absolutely marvellous piece of work... maybe it appeals to me because I am an armchair skier! Congratulations. It flows well as I read it aloud. Pat.

Hi Pat, honorable armchair skier. Very smart indeed, staying safe in that chair. Best wishes!

The Olympics have been great fun to watch this year. Your Rictameter poem is a fun tribute to the aerial free-style skiing, which takes so much talent and so many hours of practice to be able to do at the level of these men and women. I'm glad that someone has written a poem about this. Thanks for sharing, and good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Lee. Your review is so inspiring. I wonder if I could copy your comments in my Author's Notes. "a fun tribute to the aerial free-style skiing, which takes so much talent and so many hours of practice to be able to do at the level of these men and women. My best to you skiers!"

I love the grace and motion of this poem that emulates with words the grace and motion of the skiers. Beautiful lines: "Poets of gravity, White grace." This is well done as well as timely. Best wishes to you, Jeanie Mercer
