This reminded me of when I was a kid, my very ornery cousin Donald found out the tooth fairy would bring money. So he got a hammer and tried to knock out his own teeth so he could buy candy! This is very nice, but I wasn't sure where the humor was. Was the humor supposed to be the line about the teeth? If so, I thought it otherwise, I thought that he either took out his teeth on purpose (hope not) or that he had to sacrifice his tooth fairy money to help out the family, either way I didn't think it humorous.
Of course this could just be my pessimistic way of thinking.
Your art choice is lovely.
