I've never been beside someone that was leaving this earth, but this is a very moving s less short story. One last goodbye is what is truly needed sometimes. Good impact with your short story. Love, Jean

This is a very beautiful, heart-wrenching piece. I'm sure many of us can identify with the death of a loved one and you've expressed this piece so very wonderfully -- even within the constraints of rigidly structured rules. I admire your skill. geoniasha

Your entry is sooo sad. Saying goodbye can be so hard. You've done an excellent job of crafting a very poignant piece wihthout using the letter S; very impressive.

I have a friend who is going through this right now with her mother. The doctors keep telling her just another day or two but that was a week ago. It has been an emotional roller coaster for her. This story has a lot of good details even without the letter s. Good job and good luck with the contest. ann

This entry has a breathless, yet sad quality about it. I liked it. I would never guess it was for a contest without the letter S. Good job and I wish you the best.

"A tear trickled down her cheek when death entered the room." What a line! I love this work. You have portrayed a death bed scene in a very beautiful manner. Peace and love is everywhere. And to top it off you fulfilled the contest requirement of no "S" anywhere! Nice job --Judy

This is a very good story for only fifty words. And, it has no 'S'. This could very well be a winner. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.

This is sad. No matter when a life is extinguished, there is great sadness for those left behind. It's especially sad when it's a family member who passes. "when death entered the room," is a good phrase. - Thesis

Monday, my daughter's husband lost his grandmother and yesterday her own grandmother underwent brain surgery. My mother, the only grandmother left, was told to sit in a chair and not move all day until I got there...Thanks for the kind and generous review. Carol
