"OHHHHH,hhhhhh" is what came out of my mouth when I saw the picture of "Mister."....and that is the reason I decided to take out time to read it...I just had to....so I did.

I felt what you felt and wrote in the first paragraph. I had the same feeling when I saw "Constantine" at the shelter. He was as big as a dog with a long bushy tail. When he saw me, he put out his paw and grabbed my hand. I fell in love with him and wanted him so bad, I went home to get a cage for him. When I got back, HE WAS GONE! Someone beat me to him....It really hurt...In Paragraph three... I think "Monsieur? fits him perfectly....and whoever gets "Sweet Angel" will literally be getting one. Something else I love about your poem is the fact that you wrote it as an IAMBIC TETRAMETER SONNET. That also caught my eye, because I have been wanting to write sonnets and your poem will be a great guideline and help to me to learn how. Blessings to you Yeltl. I am a fan, indeed. Nan ....P.S. and of course I agree that that it's pretty cool that he was set free!

    Dearest Nan,

Thank you so much for this astounding review and the honor of six stars! This review warmed my heart. I could tell you are an animal lover; and feel the way I do when I see those poor doomed animals behind bars.

Mister is available for adoption, you want him? I could arrange for a transport (smile).

Your story about Constantine was endearing. He literally grabbed your hand? How cute. Yes, without an application and a adoption contract, anyone is free to come and take the animal before we do.

Thank you so much! Yes, I thought Miser would like a sonnet in iambic tetrameter in his honor. He is so special! I've been writing sonnets for a long time, if you have any questions, or need advise, PM me! Again, I am very grateful for these words, your sentiment, and God bless your beautiful heart. Love, Yelena

Aww gee, what a sweet little Mister there! So glad
he will soon be adopted. Wish I could, but I have
2 already (named Cleopatra & Sheba). Surely someone
will be taking him home soon.
Thanks for sharing dear.

Thank you so much, Ronni. Isn't he a cute guy? He is soooo cool! I am sure he'll find an adopter once he is out of there. They say he is also very sweet and loving.

Very little is ever written about the thousands of animals which are killed because no one wants them. This is very well written. Good job.

Hello yeltel,

I admire your dedication and devotion to abandoned (and condemned) animals. Yours is a noble cause. Loved the personification--"lonely, frightened, yet demure."

Nicely done.

Thank you so much, Ray, for the exceptional review and the honor of six stars! I am honored and flattered. Yes, I feel for these poor doomed souls, and saved so many over the years. The tragedy of it is, for every one saved, hundreds die. But we have to keep trying, and get more people in our corner. These animals need us, they can't help themselves. Thanks again, fondest wishes, Yelena
