Well written, Yelena, and a beautiful example of your cause working. Bravo in saving Mister's life and let's hope he has a long nine live. The flow of the poem and rhyme were excellent and pride in your accomplishment shone through your words. Congratulations on your nomination. Love, Joyce

This is a nice sonnet about a cat that needs to be saved. You did a good thing. It is so sad to see animals at a shelter. I have adopted two dogs from shelters.

I see no errors.

Good luck and keep writing

I once worked with a girl who called her husband "Mister".
This is a cute poem and being a cat lover I can relate to your feeling for Mister.

Sweet poem. Very nicely said. I loved the sentiment. The last line seems to break with the flow of the overall poem. It maybe that the word cool breaks the language of the poem, but I'm not sure.

Sweet angel, you will be set free
That's pretty cool, don't you agree?

Thank you so much, Sandra, for your wonderful, loving heart. Mister is one special guy! He escaped the Grim Reaper by the hair's breadth! (smile); and now on the way to a foster home. He is just so cute! And I love the name - Mister.

This is really a very good sonnet about your friend, Mister! Perfect meter (your usual) and great rhymme. Love his picture...looks like he would be a goof to have around! lol...

So beautiful, buff color fur
The shelter says you're very sweet
Named "Mister", or in French, "Monsieur"
One day I'd love for us to meet.

It's so touching and so you. Very sweet!!! Love, Susanne

Thank you so much, Susanne, for the great review. Mister got another chance in life. Such a cute cat! I was endeared by his name, Mister, and by his beautiful coloring; he is a sweetheart too, as the shelter says. He'll be pulled today and taken to a foster home. My dear little Mister! Maybe some I'll get to meet him.

Perfect meter and rhyme, Yelena, and yet another expressively emotional poem about these lovely creatures that find themselves in peril when nobody wants to take them into their homes. The progression from peril to rescue is most effective. You're doing such a good thing with your efforts to promote pet adoption, my friend :-) Brooke

    Thank you so much, Brooke,

My heart bleeds for these poor animals, who can't help themselves and die by dozens every day. I am happy and thrilled when I am in time to save a life, like this one. But what is agonizing is, for every life saved, there are so many lost! But we have to keep trying, every day, like every rescuer I've met on my path; and they are the best people I have come across on a planet! We will make a difference, little by little, those poor angels need us!

Of course, I liked Mister's sweet picture and the little cat symbol. I enjoyed your rhymes, and your speaking directly to the cat made for a satisfying ending.

I want to adopt him myself! He is soooo cute and adorable. We have 2 cats already, but hey, he is sweet, loving and very tiny, they say! I'll think about it. The main thing is, he is going to be pulled tomorrow and placed in a foster home; and they will be putting him up for adoption; which includes Adoptathons etc. I wanted to present him with a sonnet in iambic tetrameter as a going away present (big smile). Thanks for the wonderful review, love, Y.

I assume you can get the address and will send the poem to the folks who adopted him and pass it on to the shelter as well. You are a saint! -J

Saint? Oh, no, dear Joan. I am just a human who cares. Lots of love, Y.

    Oh, Svetik!

Thank you so much! Yes, animal rescue is a huge part of my life; and I've been doing it for years. I saved many, many cats on death row across country. This sweet guy came to my attention two days ago; just in time for me to save his life. The way I do it, I usually find rescues to save them, and pay each rescue. These saints are so overtaxed with vet bills and other expenses; that have no or little money; and sometimes they would love to take an animal, but they just can't. Offering donations opens doors and does save lives. I met the best, the most incredible people through animal rescue, and I'm blessed!

Mister is so cute, I would take him myself though we have 2 cats already. Well, I am still thinking about it. They say, he is very small despite his 3 years; and super sweet. I don't know. But I am delighted and ecstatic that his life is saved; and he is not going to die tomorrow (tomorrow is supposed to be his last day). Thank you again for your exceptional review and for your six stars, love and hugs, Yelena

Thank you so much, dearest Sue. Yes, I know your big and loving heart; and I know that poems and stories about those abandoned and condemned animals reverberate with you. I am delighted that you care. We can't save them all, but we have to keep trying; and I have to tell you, I met the best people in my life through rescue.
