Well, that is a nice story with a fur-warming ending. I am traveling and the European town I am visiting has gone to great lengths in providing food and habitat for the local cat community. I sat down one day next to one of these felines and was greeted with a ball of fur in my lap. A place to take a cat-nap.

There is no way in the world, even if the job paid $200,000 per year would i work in a shelter which euthanized cats. Look at the innocent face on Mister. It's adorable and I'm not a cat person. I've always had dogs.
Your poem was well written, sympathetic and to the point.
Cheers to a good week.

Thank you very much. All municipal shelters euthanize when the shelter gets full. Municipal laws do allow it. It's very sad and these animals need all the help they can get.

This poem, Mister, presented with a sonnet-esque formatting, acts as a journal of the rescue of the kitty called Mister. Such a nice thing to do. .................

This is so charming - even down to the pussy cat image beneath the photo! And a fantastic story told in immaculate meter. I am so glad you were able to save little Mister, and it would indeed be wonderful if you get to meet him one day.
The only tiny point I might raise is whether in the fourth line of the first stanza the verb should be "had" rather than "has", as the whole reflection seems to be of the past? And ditto in the third, whether the verb in line two should be "said".
Regardless of that, I loved the poem and it gave me great pleasure to read it and hear of your wonderful work for animals.

A beautiful picture of the cat, and your poem vividly describes his predicament. I am so glad that he was rescued and given a home where he would be loved and enjoyed.

What a very nice story with wonderful sentiment. I enjoyed reading your story on this bleak and dreary day. It brought sunshine. Some people would say "that saving a cat is a small thing". What I would say is that "it is everything". Best wishes.
