A delightful childrens story. Trust a child tocome up with an answer to things.A very nice read, written humorously.
"Why not? Someone killed a cow and we put the meat in our freezer."
This line made me laugh out loud, so true.

HA ha...how wonderfully funny. I love the language of kids and how they make everything so easy and simple in their language. A great tale, Carol.

Very well done short. I wanted to see how the piece tied up and it was humorous. (I can relate, when my bird died... (long time ago, when I was younger, not recently) I put her in the freezer. in an tim horton's tidbits box. My roommate at the time was not happy. I did it twice, once with a bird, once with a rat (we rarely baught food to put in the freezer anyway) And for a long time family made fun that they couldn't leave anyone sick with me cause they'd end up in the freezer.

I love it and isn't is strange the things we do for our children. I still have our Labradors ashes in a closet. With us being military, we haven't found the proper place to put her and where we lived when she died, we couldn't bury her, so we had her creamated. Oh dear...

What a great little family story you have here Carol. How cute, the family camper becomes a cat morgue. Your dialogue reads so real, and the pace of the story moves the narrative along nicely for the reader.
Well done.
Warm regards,

Hi Begin Again,
I'm chortling as I type at the thought of the camper having suddenly become "the morgue" - ony a thirteen year old boy would find that funny or appealing! Poor old Precious, they do become a fixture in our lives don't they. My own old cat is now 18 and likely to shuffle off any day now. I shall miss her.

So true, lucky for you that there is a place you can bury them. I think my old lady will have to be put to bed somewhere I can hope no one will disturb her remains in my garden wherever that may be. Patrick

Hi Carol, This is funny but I can easily picture it happening. We have the ashes of our first Boston Terrier on our mantel because our son doesn't want to bury him. At least it's a pretty box. No errors spotted and it was interesting to read.

Hi Carol, what a lovely, yet sad story about the poor 13 year old Precious, the child's concerns and the ultimate solution, only having to now sell your camper.
Just one sentence, didn't make sense to me, not sure if there is a word missing?:
Think or a cat [Carol, not sure what this sentence should say?] would soon be nestled next to tomorrow night's dinner
Warmest regards
Marijke
