Lol, this one makes me laugh. The picture you put with it is SO CUTE! I think you captured the thoughts of one who hands out candy on Halloween night. lol :)

As always, I am reading all of these posts for the septolet contest before voting. This was an excellent entry, using two stanzas that connected together and only 14 words to provide an image. You accomplished this somewhat challenging - and, definitely fun - form very well. I like that this is a light take on Halloween! Best of luck in the contest. Sue

Very cute poem Begin Again.
This will be a very differnent. Halloween
for me. I wont get to see children
squealing with delight in this country.
I may hear what eerie sounds are like in
Germany. I'll be visiting my daughter and
her family. They live in Kirchberg, which
translates to "Church on the hill."

Carol, I love this. The photo is sooo cute. I can just those two enjoying themselves trick or treating. I love seeing the little ones when they come to my door.

Excellent visual imagery. Superb juxtaposition of picture and poem. Great alliteration in the fifth line. Good use of gerunds.

What a sweet picture for this septolet. How many of us 'feign fright' with the little ones- -sometimes they giggle and sometimes we they are more scared- -particularly if one is dressed up to greet them. Thank you- -seven lines, 14 syllables and perfect for the contest. Good luck.
