Jenna heard a scream, saw a man lurking, and then a hand touched her. I think I might have scream and fainted too. I guess her husband didn't understand her.

Very well done. I liked it a lot. You made it very real, I could alomst see the stupified expression on the face of the husband.

Good entry and good luck.

What a great little vignette! You drew me in then embarrassed me for not guessing where you were going with it! A good chuckle! Percival

Percival Never to embarrass only to surprise...I am glad that you enjoyed the little story. Carol

I have this thing about imagining danger...it happens often on streets when I think I hear footsteps following me, my heart races. Too much CSI but I guess it's better to be alert, safe than sorry.

Good luck in the contest.

Her bleeding husband stood there, confused. "Women and blood! It's only a cat scratch."
Men, they just don't know what really goes through a woman's mind. But we women do let our imagination run wild at times.

Thanks so much for the kind review. I am glad it made you laugh. It's difficult to write a story in 80 words and have much punch to it. Thanks again. Carol

he he I really enjoyed this story, I could never do something like this! I take way to long to get a point across lmao, but you really nailed this and brought the excitement up fast.

Another fab job!

Thanks...I didn't think I could do it either...Should have seen me cut, clip, cut, clip, rewrite. But I had fun! Carol

I'm a little behind on reviewing been so busy at work. I liked this also. 80 words is hard and it was done well. I am wondering who the man in the bushes is though.

The man in the bushes was her husband trying to save the cat from the storm outside. He screamed when he got scratched...thus the blood on his arm when he came in the back door. Thanks so much...It is hard to put all that into a few words. Carol

Very nice. I was really scared. I was surprised when it ended up being the husband with only a cat scratch. You did a great job with this story of only a few words. Sarabran

This story is well-written and does not have any SPAG's. It is an exciting and fun read. And it meets the contest requirements.
