Really beautifully done. I loved the part about walking with two cups of coffee. That just speaks volumes about the loneliness and a bit of disbelief I think. Wonderful job.

Wild Flower...Thanks so much for reading my poem. Starting off a new day with dreams of love and happiness and then remembering it will never be again.....devastating. It's like praying it's a nightmare and finding out you are awake.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I greatly appreciate it. Carol

You did such a beautiful job of describing the pain associated with losing someone you love. I felt your sorrow, and pain as it brought back so many familiar feelings that i experienced with losing my grandson. I dont get the oppurtunities much with my work schedule to get online alot anymore but when i do, i go straight to see if you have any new writing. Your work is awesome and i enjoy reading your stories, poems, or whatever you write. You are a natural and i feel you will go a long way in your writing. God bless you.

    Sherry...

You bring tears to my eyes this morning. I don't think I've ever had anyone say such wonderful things about my writing. I truly thank you. I haven't written lately, but I am telling myself to get over my sadness (July 13, 1981) I buried my son. It's been a long time but sometimes it feels like yesterday. I know he's in a better place and I'll be okay too. Thanks for all your kindness. God bless you. Carol

The pure emotional flow in this one is powerful as it draws the reader through this tale of woe. And Mino's artwork enhances your poem.
Very well done.

This was an exceptional piece! I loved the flow of your poem. Your words were filled with very strong emotion. How sad it must be to lose someone you love so much just to have to learn to face tomorrow with out them. They say time heals but how much time would it take for someone to completely heal from such a tragedy? Great work altogether!

It's never really gone, just lurking in the shadows. Some days you feel alive and others...well, they are better left unsaid.

Thanks for reading and for the kind and generous review.

Wow! This is absolutely superb, Begin Again! I started off in the garden with you thinking I'd be joining you in feelings of 'contentment' or 'joy' maybe - what a huge surprise! Very well done - you've captured the pain and inability to accept the death of a loved one; a very real stage of grieving. Kudos on your win - well deserved! Take care,
Heather

I read this poem, I thought it was great. I liked the rhymes, every piece seemed to fit so nicely. The picture suited the mood, too. The colors were right, very blue.

I appreciate your kind words, but I miss all instruction. Have went back to the writing board so to speak and am writing on the novel again. You should be prepared! Thanks for reviewing ....I thought the grey and blue set the mood. Thanks again my friend, Carol

Don't worry, I'm working on my eagle eye... poems are the hardest for me to offer suggestions on changes on. Especially when they pull a feeling. I think poems should do something... like get you to think or feel, and then when they rhyme, and have a beat, well... I had a cup of coffee today, and missed my stupid duck. Can't compare a duck to a person, but dang it. I miss my little friend.

turtlestage... No matter what you love.boy, girl, dog, cat or duck ...it doesn't matter what it is. If you loved it and lost it, you ache inside because there is something missing. I'll try to send a smile your way and maybe cheer you just a little.

LET MY SMILE BE YOUR UMBRELLA....UNTIL YOUR EARS GO AWAY.
My thoughts are with you my friend....Carol

If it will make you feel better, I'll make lots of mistakes so you can tell me about them!
