Kudos and many parenting accolades to you, Beth, for surviving twins ... especially mischievous ones. It appears what one didn't think of, the other one sure did. I am glad you managed to survive. Not sure if I could have!! At least not with my humor in tact.

Smiles, Carol

Thank you carol. I appreciate the review. I'm still trying to survive twins and they are in their fifties and they don't ever like each other that much. LOL

I feel like your children kept you on your toes. We love our children no matter what trouble seems to creep up although they can give us grey hairs. We have twins in our family, and we thoroughly enjoy them. I know you did, too.

Thank you Rosemary. Twins can be fun but they are certainly capable of keeping a lot of drama in your life. Of course, I don't regret having them and I'll always love them.

I never thought about parents of twins having to deal with double trouble. Your son seemed to do typical boy stuff, even though it made it difficult for you as a parent. When your daughter broke the rules, I think the punishment was too harsh. However, these are all great memories that I'm glad you are sharing.

Thank you for a great review. I enjoyed you comments. Yes the punishment was a little harsh but these church-based schools seem to be extremely strick. My children wanted to go to this school since a lot of their frends were there. The had attended a private school in New Orleans.

Thank you Joann. How did we ever survive all our children put us through? I enjoyed your comments and I really appreciate the stars.

Another well-told story about your family. I sensed Don would be a problem when you first introduced him to readers. He certainly is his own man! To me, the fact that his advisers let him take 'fun' courses would have been a red flag as to the school's accreditation!
I do love that the school had to buy him a
plane ticket because they screwed up.
At least he excelled in gymnastics.
It's clear he had a temper. he should have taken a course in anger management!
I got a kick out of his sister's trucking incident and was glad she didn't get expelled. It seemed a harmless prank. I do think the punishment was too severe, however.
You have to admit that dressing up as an old lady showed imagination.
Why did you send them to boarding school instead of a public school???
Thanks for a good read. I do see bits of humor here and there. Smile...

They had gone to a private school in New Orleans most of the time because the public schools had bad reputations. A lot of their friends had gone on to the boarding school, and we let them go there their final year in high school to get them used to being on their own before college. It probably wasn't a good idea. Thanks so much for the review and the six stars.

Even if they go to high school ten miles from home, that age kid is an expert at getting into trouble. You did well to get them through graduation. This is a well-told tale of parenting.

Double trouble times two to the power of ten! These escapades are indeed great fodder for family lore--funny now, not so much then!

Typo: ... leave a cast [ln tact==>INTACT]

Thank you again Elizabeth, Those two even though they are no longer young still manage to stress me out. They will be fodder for stories as long as I can still write.

I had to have a giggle, I can remember falling heavily for a 16 year beauty when I was 18, but after 9 blissful months for me at least, she dumped me, and after my best friend committed suicide I went into a depressed state for about 18 months, but I recovered, but not broken hand depressed, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy. Boys will be boys. I guess they all fall in love or think they're in love. A friend committing suicide would depress you. Being dumped would as well.

Well done and glad I came by this great chapter. I obviously had not seen it previously. Your family provide plenty of laughs or horrors most of the time. No spags.

Thank you so much for a great review. I'm still trying to play catch up for a few days out of town and I haven't written anything new.

This is hilarious in the telling, Beth, but I know it would have caused you a lot of stress at the time. Being a mother is seldom easy. Raising twins has to be worse. I hope you get those twin grandchildren as long as it's their parents who raise them.:)

One spag: â??to at least, (to) give him a fighting chance.â??

Thank you Judy. I can be fun to have twins at times but they came drive you crazy. If there is twins to be it wll have to be great-grandchildren. There were two set of twins in my have sister's families. One of my grandmother's brothers had two set of twins and one set of triplets. All lived.

You?re most welcome, Beth. Wow, your family produced a lot of multiple births! I once dated a young man who was a twin and I know he?s now a grandfather of twins. I often wonder what that would be like. :)
