Your optimism is contagious. This is a very uplifting poem. Looking beyond oneself does allow "a new horizon, A glistening morning" to be seen. It is just waiting to be discovered by the believing soul. You write consistantly excellent poetry. I truly enjoyed this thoughtful write. Blessings to you, Linda

Tis is very inspiration and a great motivator for those that will take it to heart, for I do believe you are the embodiment of what you think and perceive. A pessimistic victim attitude can stifle your very being and keep you from seeing the magnificnet journey of life. An optimistic attitude is filled with appreciation and insight,and despite the trials and tribulation that might befall one they learn and grow from it, making them stronger. Inhabit your gifts--this one line carries a truckload of meaning, begs pondering long after the poem is done. Should be taped to the mirror, a bumper sticker, on the fridge, for constant reminder. Also loved 'ears to hear new music'--beloved old songs are good, but there is always a new one, yet undiscovered. Well done, poet! :)

Assuming your poem is autobiographical, it sounds as though you are at a crossroad and are looking forward to change in the next chapter of your life. If not, you did an excellent job of taking on a persona and creating great imagery.

I am definately in the transition of a life time, yet this is written for those who just can't seem to see the light or move forward!
