i have always loved dogs. i have three of them!
one is Fast Foot, the other is Smokey, and the last is called Close Eyes.
all the names i gave them are what their natures are like.
my little brothers and sister really like them.
i thought the poem was cool and i look forward to reading more.

Oh, I love this tribute to your faithful companion and your author notes on both your dogs. I'm a sucker for pet stories. Great job.

I keep finding your poems don't I?
Another good effort.
Your dog is very cute.
You poem portrays well the love dogs can have for their owner. They really deeply on us don't they?
almost childlike.
regards
Darren

Yeah, I've been writing up a storm these past few days. Yes, they are our babies. Thanks so much for your great review. Always appreciated and with regards, Sue

Jackie looks as if she is smiling. And no wonder! She has you wrapped around her paw. What a delightful poem about true and gentle love. You can see Jackie is well loved by the demeanor she displays for her photo. And besides that, how many companions get a sonnet written in their honor? Excellent contest entry. Stories or poems about animals always get me right in the heart! Blessings to you both, Linda

Ha! You are right. She does have me wrapped. She and Bobbie, both, were highly trained at one time. I let the rules relax over the years and they now know all the loopholes and take complete advantage of me. LOL!! Yet, she still deserved her sonnet. Thanks so much for your lovely and fun review. Always, Sue

Hi Sue, adorable dog and matching poem to boot. I have a Golden Retriever, Missy. You are so right with their love and affection, she is sitting at my feet almost all the time. I enjoyed, LOyd

What a beautiful sentiment for a beautiful animal cuz. A friend of mine has several dogs, "trained" to attack, but they seem to love me to pieces for some reason. They don't even bark when I go to visit, and that pisses my friend off to no end! I should tell him that I have always had an affinity for animals and they me, but it's just too much fun sneaking up on him with his own dogs!
Great write my friend!
Sincerely,
Curt

Ha!! Makes your friend wonder what it is about your chemistry that zaps their training! There are people that animals just have an automatic chemistry with. You are so bad! Sneaking up on him and his dogs! LOL!!! I can just see you now trying to taunt your friend about how his "trained" dogs just melt when you come along. Ha! Thanks for your great (and fun) review! Your cuz.

Hi siteez.
This is a wonderful way to express the love between you and your dog. You rose to the challenge here very well.
Best to you. Fondly, Rebecca

I like this, Sue -it's light-hearted
and fun - such a friendship can't be
measured - our pets love us unconditionally.
It has a smooth flow to it, and great rhythm
and rhyme - a pleasure to review.
Regards,
Margaret.

I enjoyed reading this... and I can sure relate! I have an almost 15-year-old llasa apso/chow mix. He's still just like a pup! Someday my (love) poem will be about him.
They really are best friends, aren't they!
Good luck in the contest...
