I really like the message in this and the author's notes added to understanding your poem. I read them first. Great choice for this contest. joan marie

Your poem is a wonderful expression of the journey of self-discovery, and my favorite part is "When desires of acceptance No longer matter," signifying of course that your self-acceptance is all that matters. Nice job.

Hullo VisionaryPoet ....
I enjoyed reading this well-presented free-thought writing because, through your words, you have responded to
Our Lord's words - "Love your neighbour as yourself."
Thank you for sharing this with us and, as this is now a Contest entry, I wish you well.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

I enjoyed this reflective poem and contest entry. The artwork is brilliant and captivating.
You've written about the real you underneath and free from all that restricts you, all that holds you back. And then how you enjoy nurturing that person, that entity, that soul. Taking care of you, so you may love others. This is an inspirational message with a lovely presentation.
Thanks for sharing this with me.
Best wishes in the contest.

This is beautiful and so true. Most people don't see it that way, they feel selfish for loving themselves but in order to love your neighbor as yourself you must love yourself first. Powerful message, thanks for sharing.

Your poem and your notes speak of the way
we would like to be for every day in this
great gift of life.
The older I get the more I see the great truth
that I am most happy when I am doing for others.

Hi Jewell. How did I miss this one? Anyway, you're up for Poem of the Month and so, here I am. I still don't understand how I didn't review this. Anyway, it's excellent, especially the second stanza and the realization that goes with the words.
