What a loving and moving poem, Sue! May the Lord hear your prayers and be with you and your daughter. She is blessed to have a mother as yourself.

What a beautifully written tribute to your daughter. I have a friend who had a daughter who was mentally challenged and she told me she was told that God only trusts a few people with His special children. Your daughter is truly blessed to have you for her mother. Autism is particularly hard because in many cases, the child really doesn't want to be hugged and kissed. That is so hard for the parent(s) who love the child so. This poem touching and tenderly written. Onlyy love could have inspired it. Blessings, Linda

Sixteezkid,
This poem is most touching and your feelings are expressed from the heart. The reader feels your love and your faith.

Beautiful write and prayer. As a parent it is difficult when they grow up and we grow older. Who will protect and care for them one day, when we are gone. Beautiful write. Thanks, Jeanette

this is most moving - poetry that comes straight through the heart without any filter is rare - you speak directly, without artifice - you just lay it all on the line
Your cadence and rhyme are both solid, but the words are just plain-spoken, not prettified, not made into stunning images, not worked over - just honest and heartfelt, which is so appropriate for this most personal of pleas

Thank you, Brooke. Yes, I only set out to write what I was feeling at that very moment. I suppose that is just what I needed, too. Thank you for your very kind words. And your review, which always shows your sincerity. With regards, Sue

I loved the deep loving emotion that your prayer conjures up there Sue, I could feel the love of a mother reaching out and asking gently for divine help. Very nice friend!

My hat goes to you dear lady. Beautiful poem with such moving phrase as "She'd need me all her life." I am mother of one of those kids, now an adult. Believe me, there are treasures in those eyes.

This is beautiful. It reminded me of when I was very young and gave birth to my son. I knew there would be many challenges and I turned his life over to God. It left me confident that no matter what happened, God would take care of him. I still believe that today. My son was 22 taking Engineering in University when the disease of Schizophrenia overwhelmed his life. There have been many obstacles, but I still believe God is taking care of him. It gives me peace of heart.
Blessings to you. My son is 32, now, and I only want the best for him, and I know God keeps him safe.
Joy to you and yours,
Pen

Yes, even as they grow up to be adults, they are always our children and our thoughts and concerns never leave us. You most certainly have had your obstacles and I only hope and pray for the best for your son. With warmest regards, Sue
