Hi there. I like this. Lots of emotion created. projects an image. Good narrative verse. Do have a question.

Vulnerable, so tired
In need of an embrace
With strong arms and deep heart
You take me from that place

"You take me from that place." What place? Lines 2,3,&4 seem to go together well. But, to me, they don't fit with line 1. That's just my opinion.

This poem was wonderful. It flowed nicely and I could really relate to it. I recently became an empty nester myself and I have really learned to appreciate my husband. When we are close and just sleeping, I feel secure because we have been through so much, both happy and sad during our years together.

I really liked that one. Not only did it have a nice cadance to it, good flow, it had a message. To me, it was like a promise from God:

What a loving tribute! Your poem took me back just a few days to my mother's final conscious hours. The cancer had returned with a vengeance, and drugs no longer worked. But the arms of her husband comforted and eased her suffering until she left it all behind for her heavenly home.

Thank you for this beautiful, comforting reminder of her love.
