Got a belly laugh out of this one. Perhaps it was their tribute to their American visitors. How they decided upon that one is beyond me. Cute read. joan marie

A very nice antidote. Denmark would be one of the last places you would expect to hear a song like "Dixie" but, nice to know the song has fans everywhere.

foxtale,
Thanks for a good story. It was well written and your point is great. seems Dixie lives..Now, if we play Dixie, we know it is a great piece of music. Sounds good, no matter what country or people play.

Hello foxtale.
This is very interesting to me and so very true. For example Auld Lang Syne is used by countries all over the world on New Year's Eve and it is surprising how many do not know that it is a Scottish song. Thanks for the international flavor. rebecca

Hi Foxtale,
Nice little story, I guess some tunes are universal! I seem to remember learning that tune on the tin whistle in school! (in rural Ireland)
Anyway, this is a nicely formatted bit of flash fiction - i spotted one typo,
Each morning the as* flag in (the 'as' seems out of place here)
Thanks for the read,
Paula

Cute story. Some wouldn't appreciate it, but in the context, no one should object. I remember a great scene at the beginning of Murder on the Orient Express where a Turkish trio was playing "On the Good Ship Lollipop" on their violins. Best wishes.

Thanks! As to people objecting, I did get one bad review for 'Sergeant Gus and the Day of Joy' but it seemed as if the reviewer had neither read the story clear though nor understood the headlines that had inspired me.
