This is a very moving poem, rich with meaning. Thank you for sharing this perspective on women's strength. My favorite line is the end, which encapsulates everything you are trying to say, "She rises up again, facing life's challenges with strength and courage."

Hi Lov'n Peace....when I read your daughter will die soon my heart lurched. I am so sorry. Is there nothing that can be done? You have written this poem very well. It speaks of strength and courage that we all hope we will not have to reach down to our soul and pull it up just to survive. When I was 31 I was told I had 3 to 6 months left to live. I am now a grandmother so I know miracles are out there to be had. God bless you and your daughter...chey

Scribe's depiction decries the caddish treatment of
the "fair" sex by provincial man and/or "the glass
ceiling." However, the most telling lines for me are
found in the ending strophe;
"Sometimes beaten down
at times even broken
but she rises up again
facing life's challanges (challenges) with stealth
(resourcefulness ??) and courage"
This protagonist easily serves as an excellent role
model/poster image for resiliency and deserving of
